You'll sip award-winning wines and explore the back-roads of this wonderful valley.  The route includes mountain vistas, ancient rain forests, country scenery and delightful local vineyards/farms.  Your local guide will share the history of the area traveling the back-roads.  Get ready to meet some of the owners and winemakers and see first hand the passion of these growers.

Your group is kept small so the focus is on you and your touring experience.  Sit back and relax as you are transported by van from downtown Victoria to the one and only Cowichan Valley where you'll visit 3 wineries with wine tastings at each, balsamic tasting and a "farm-to-fork" picnic lunch.

Don't forget to bring your cameras!  The scenery is something you will want to share with everyone.

Picture your day...

The drive up to your first winery visit includes panoramic views. There's a stop at a local viewpoint for pictures and to offer you a fresh-baked snack. Guides will take pictures of you throughout the day and text them to you at the end of the tour day. Relax! The guides look after everything.

Please bring your masks because at times social distancing is not possible. Your guide will advise if and when masks are required.

The next stop features unique small batch wines. This winery is one of the very first group of 4 wineries to open in the late 1980s. Their place in this region's growing wine scene of Cowichan is to continue to make small batch wines - unique, interesting and really hard to make. Producing between 500 and 900 cases of wine each year, this is often a favorite stop for guests on this tour. Along with wine, you'll learn about Canada's top ten food products, including balsamic vinegar - and you'll taste it. So good!

LUNCH:  A wonderful lunch kit is prepared fresh daily from the local grocer with "farm to fork" local good food. They fill the lunch kit with all sorts of local cheese, meats and fruit. Even the biggest appetite is more than satisfied and many guests even take leftovers back to their hotel room for late night snacks.  Enjoy overlooking the picturesque vineyard - with wine, of course. Your guide will provide time here so you can really enjoy your lunch with wine.  Feel free to purchase a glass of wine or bottle to share; you'll have plenty of time here.   After lunch, explore this award winning architectural-designed tasting room. Take pictures inside and outside.  Your guide is happy to meet you in the vineyard to take more photos before the tour heads back to town.

Did someone say dessert? There might even be some chocolate for a treat at the end of the day.

Wineries visited may vary due to harvest time or farm emergencies.
